I know your body needs some fats, but a lower fat diet is certainly healthiest. What is a low fat diet? I mean, going completely fat free is unhealthy, but eating 65 grams of fat (recommended for a 2,000 calorie diet) is not necessary. Can I be healthy just getting the fats from healthy foods like breads and oatmeal? Sorry for all of the questions- I could just brainstorm on this topic.

Yet, not just any 13 year old. I have a family who starting today is made up of somewhere around 6 diabetics now. What is a healthy diet for me so I dont become a diabetic too? ((I’m already starting down the wrong path…I just know it))
Also, it has to be cheap and btw I don’t have anyway to work out at a gym b/c there isn’t one nearby. :/
and I have no pediatrician.

So this is somewhere I’ve came to talk to fellow people who strive to eat healthy. Everyone has their own reasons for getting in shape mine is just to look and feel better inside and out. I would consider myself intermediately athletic before I joined the gym about a week ago, I would run for an hour a day four days a week the problem is I wouldn’t eat very healthy fast food every day or so no good.

So now I am trying to eat healthier my goal isn’t to lose weight, actually I DON’t mind gaining as long as it is muscle and not fat. Right now I am working out 4-5 days a week doing 2 hours a day one hour cardio and one hour weights and taking off two days a week for muscle recuperation, like when I get up in the morning and can’t walk feeling the burn from the previous day! I was wondering if this diet sounds healthy but reasonable.

-2 protein shakes a day
- vitamins daily calcium twice a day
- fruits and veggies everyday lean meat such as chicken, turkey roast beef, fish, peanuts.

I’ve been eating a healthy diet of about 1400 cals/day and have been exercising half an hour daily and walking more. I have noticed that I have been losing up to 4 lbs in just 3 days. Is it normal and safe to lose this much weight at the beginning of a diet, or should i be doing something differently?
